Correct technique is the key to a successful outcome. We'll work with you to determine the most appropriate method based on the condition of your donor area (nape of the neck) and the area of hair loss.
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is the process of extracting hair follicles (grafts) from the donor area one by one using specialized micromotors. This method has revolutionized the technique by leaving no scars. **Sapphire FUE** is a further developed version of the FUE technique. The channels for the grafts are opened with special sapphire (diamond)-tipped blades, which are much sharper and smoother than metal slits. Sapphire tips allow for closer openings, faster healing, and easier hair growth.
In the DHI technique, the collected hair follicles are placed in a special medical implant device called a "Choi Pen." This pen allows our specialist to simultaneously open channels and place the follicles. Because the follicles spend less time outside, the success rate increases. This method is particularly ideal for tightening existing hair or for those who prefer a no-shave hair transplant.
Hair transplantation is a journey and we are with you every step of the way.
The first step is a detailed initial consultation with our experts. During this phase, we analyze your hair loss type, examine your donor area, and determine the number of grafts you need. We also provide information on the most appropriate technique and hairline design.
The day of the procedure begins with local anesthesia. At Mediora, needle-free (pressure) anesthesia devices are used for your comfort, minimizing pain. Then, your follicles are harvested according to the chosen technique (FUE or DHI) and carefully transplanted to their new locations. The procedure can take 6-8 hours, depending on the number of grafts required.
One to two days after the procedure, you'll have your first hair wash at our clinic, and you'll be provided with detailed information about the process. The first 10 days are a period of crusting and healing. Around the first month, a large portion of the transplanted hair will fall out, experiencing "shock loss." This is a normal process. New hair will begin to grow in the third and fourth months. It takes between nine and twelve months to see the fullest and most intense results.
Is the hair transplantation procedure painful? Because the procedure is performed entirely under local anesthesia, you won't feel any pain. You may only experience a slight sensation during the first few minutes of application. We prefer painless anesthesia for your comfort.
Will the transplanted hair fall out again? No. Since the transplanted hair is taken from your nape area (donor area), which is genetically coded not to fall out, it will last a lifetime in its new location and will not fall out.
Who is the ideal candidate for hair transplantation? Anyone over the age of 18 who has a sufficient number of healthy hair follicles in the donor area (nape of the neck), is in good general health, and whose hair loss has largely stopped or slowed down is an ideal candidate.
When will the full results be visible? Following shock shedding, hair begins to grow back in three to four months. A significant change is observed in six months. However, it takes 12 months for the hair to fully thicken, thicken, and achieve its final shape.
